Faux Silk Card using Dainty Delight Stamp Set
Today I’m sharing another project from the NC Demo Quarterly meeting in New Bern. This technique is called Faux Silk and we used the Dainty Delight Stamp Set from Stampin’Up! Little flowers send a big message when you use this set. Sure, they’re dainty, but they’ll send a powerful message of hope and love.

SUPPLIES:
Stamp Set: Dainty Delight
Paper: Basic White Cardstock, Thick Basic White Cardstock, Poppy Parade Cardstock, Highland Heather Cardstock, Distress Gold, Tissue Paper (not Stampin’Up!)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin’ Write Markers: Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Poppy Parade
Embellishment: Basic Rhinestone Jewels
Tools: Trimmer, Tombo Liquid Glue, Dragonflies Punch
Instructions:
- Cut Thick Basic White Cardstock 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″” for base.
- Cut Poppy Parade Cardstock at 4 x 5 1/4″ for mat. Cut Basic White card front at 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
- Stamp the beautiful flowers in Memento Black ink on Basic White card front.
- Using the above Stampin’ Write Markers, color in the line art images. Allow ink to dry.
- Crumple tissue paper cut at 5″ x 6 1/4″ . Open tissue paper without removing the wrinkles.
- Cover image well with Liquid Tombow or glue stick.
- Apply wrinkled tissue paper without removing wrinkles. Turn cardstock over and press back of cardstock to assure tissue paper adheres well. Allow to dry
- Adhere to mat and then to card base. Adhere Distressed Gold DSP cut at 3/4″ x 5″ to left side of card front.
- Punch two small dragonflies with Highland Heather cardstock and attach with Glue Dots.
- Stamp sentiment and punch out. Adhere with Dimensionals.
