Retiform Card using Queen Bee Stamp Set
Today I’m sharing another project from the NC Demo Quarterly meeting in New Bern. This technique is called Retiform and we used the Queen Bee Stamp Set from Stampin’Up!
This stamp set has detailed bee images with a fun and unique pattern on the wings. This stamp set is so fun, it works for all ages! Pair the images with soft pastels for a baby or youth project or add some sass with bold regal tones.

SUPPLIES:
Stamp Set: Queen Bee
Paper: Basic White Cardstock, Thick Basic White Cardstock, Basic Black Cardstock
Ink: Memento Black, Bubble Bath Ink Pad
Embellishment: Basic Rhinestone Jewels
Tools: Trimmer, Sticky Notes, Blending Brushes
Instructions:
- Cut Thick Basic White Cardstock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ for base.
- Cut Basic Black Cardstock at 4 x 5 1/4″ for mat. Cut Basic White card front at 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
- Stamp sentiment in Memento Black ink on Basic White card front. Place sticky note across card stock to create area to be “brushed” with color.
- Using Blending Brush to apply Bubble Bath to create block. Keep some white area. Stamp image in this block with Memento Ink.
- Block off another area with sticky notes and brush on color ink on border. Then stamp another image inside that block.
- Continue this process until entire card front is finished.
- Embellish with Basic Rhinestones.
